Located within the South Congress district, our clients asked if we could transform their old rental house into an expanded home with modern finishes and more living space. We were additionally tasked with providing a one-bedroom ADU in the backyard. Both homes were to be colorful, fit the scale of the surrounding neighborhood, and not impede on the stunning Live Oak tree in the backyard.
The dining area is just off the front entry. With plenty of natural light from new double hung windows, this space showcases furniture as selected by the Pluck team.
The kitchen was relocated to the center of the home for better flow throughout the residence. With direct access to the dining room and the large volumed living room addition, this kitchen truly functions as the heart of the home.
Every room needs one great niche. In the corner of the living room, this provides a burst of color and functional storage.
Our clients requested a serene atmosphere in the M. Bathroom and we provided classic finishes and fixtures here. Don’t miss the patterned floor tile!
The Hall Bath serves as a powder and bathroom for two bedrooms. We included more subdued colors and patterns in this new bathroom space.
The backyard ADU is a 646 SF one-bedroom dwelling. Situated to give privacy to the main house and not overpower the rear of the lot, this ADU is tucked in the rear corner of the property with alley access.
